宁波大学附属第一医院于2023年3月1日经宁波市委机构编制委员会办公室批准，由原宁波市第一医院（成立于1913年）与原宁波大学医学院附属医院(宁波市第三医院，成立于1951年)整合组建而成，是目前浙东区域体量最大的三级甲等综合医院。医院现有月湖、方桥、外滩三个院区，总建筑面积60余万㎡，核定床位4400张。医院连续5年全国三级综合性公立医院绩效考核排名前百。 医院是浙江省区域医疗中心建设单位，浙江省研究型医院建设单位，是宁波市国际医疗保健中心、宁波市干部保健中心、宁波市老年医学中心、宁波市公共卫生临床中心、宁波市中毒救治中心、宁波市危重孕产妇救治中心挂靠单位，也是6个市级慢病管理临床指导中心和11个市级质控中心的挂靠单位，是宁波市安宁疗护指导中心。医院目前全面托管4家县区级医院，对口帮扶3家县区级医院。 医院是国家级住院医师规范化培训基地、国家药物临床试验基地、国家级冠心病介入和心律失常介入培训基地、中国胸痛中心、国家标准化心脏康复中心、国家首批心衰中心示范中心、国家高级卒中中心、中国房颤中心、国家脑卒中筛查与防治基地、中国心源性卒中防治宁波基地、国家标准化代谢性疾病管理中心宁波分中心、全国健康管理示范基地、全国老年医学人才培训项目基地、浙江省健康实用新技术和适宜技术培育推广中心，浙江省心脑血管疾病临床医学研究中心核心单位，浙江省肺部疑难疾病诊治技术研究中心核心层单位，检验中心通过ISO15189评审。

Approved by the Ningbo Municipal Office of the Institutional Organization Committee on March 1, 2023, The First Affiliated Hospital of Ningbo University was established through the integration of the former Ningbo First Hospital (founded in 1913) and the former Affiliated Hospital of Ningbo University School of Medicine (Ningbo Third Hospital, founded in 1951). It is currently the largest Grade A Class III general hospital in eastern Zhejiang. The hospital comprises three campuses—Yuehu, Fangqiao, and Waitan—with a total construction area of over 600,000 square meters and 4,400 approved beds. For five consecutive years, it has ranked among the top 100 in the national performance evaluation of public Grade A Class III general hospitals. The hospital is a designated institution for the Zhejiang Provincial Regional Medical Center and a research-oriented hospital development unit in Zhejiang Province. It serves as the Ningbo International Healthcare Center, Ningbo Municipal Cadre Healthcare Center, Ningbo Geriatric Medicine Center, Ningbo Public Health Clinical Center, Ningbo Poison Treatment Center, and Ningbo Critical Maternal Care Center. It also hosts six municipal-level clinical guidance centers for chronic disease management and 11 municipal-level quality control centers, in addition to being the Ningbo Hospice Care Guidance Center. Currently, the hospital fully manages four county-level hospitals and provides targeted support to three other county-level hospitals. The hospital is a national training base for standardized residency programs, a national drug clinical trial base, a national training base for coronary intervention and arrhythmia intervention, a China Chest Pain Center, a National Standardized Cardiac Rehabilitation Center, one of the first national model heart failure centers, a National Advanced Stroke Center, a China Atrial Fibrillation Center, a national base for stroke screening and prevention, the Ningbo Base for Cardioembolic Stroke Prevention and Treatment, the Ningbo Branch of the National Standardized Metabolic Disease Management Center, a national demonstration base for health management, a national training base for geriatric medical talents, a Zhejiang Provincial Center for the Cultivation and Promotion of Practical Health Technologies and Appropriate Techniques, a core unit of the Zhejiang Provincial Clinical Research Center for Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Diseases, and a core unit of the Zhejiang Provincial Research Center for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Complex Lung Diseases. The laboratory center has passed ISO15189 accreditation.
